Suggestions from Global Sikhi Scholars seminar on ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਹਿਮਾਂ ਭਰਮਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕੱਢੀਏ?
Solutions Suggested:
- Akhand Paths or any Path, or part of any Path, done by the clergy or anyone else, when the sponsor is not present, listening, or able to understand, provides no spiritual or otherwise any benefit to the sponsor. This must be discouraged.
- Special programs in Gurdwaras on Sangrand, Massya, Puranmashi, Panchmi etc., Ritual bathing in Sarovars on all situations, reasons and occasions must be discouraged.
Prepare a detailed document on Superstitions practiced by Sikh community, in Gurduaras or their private life, and distribute among Sikh sangat. These should include MANMAT rituals already mentioned in Sikh Rehat Maryada. Gurbani view on such superstitions be fully explained in this document. - Only Gurbani from Sri Guru Granth Sahib should be preached without any references from other sources. Nothing that conflicts with the message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bani should be referenced. This will avoid superstitious implied in sources other than Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
- Restore Gurduaras to their original purpose i.e., institutes of learning and spiritual enlightenment.
- To educate Sangat on message of Gurbani and keep them away from superstitions, utilize all available platforms i.e., Home, social media, online classes, small videos, Gurduaras, Sikh Societies and organizations etc.
- Encourage reading, understanding and application of Gurbani message among Sikh masses, especially youth.
- Sangat (Gurduara membership) must select the Educated (with the knowledge of message of Gurbani) Sikhs to manage the affairs of Gurduaras and education of youth.
Initiate an effort to weed out Sakhis that promote superstitions. - Develope a central authority that can guide the working of Gurdwaras/Sikh Institutions.
ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਸਕਾਲਰਜ਼ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਹਿਮਾਂ ਭਰਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢਣ ਲਈ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦੇ ਸੁਝਾਅ
ਸੁਝਾਏ ਗਏ ਹੱਲ:
- ਪਾਠੀਆਂ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਖੰਡ ਪਾਠ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਪਾਠ, ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਠੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਖੁਦ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਸਮਝਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ,ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪਾਠ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਜਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਖੰਡਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
- ਸੰਗਰਾਂਦ, ਮੱਸਿਆ, ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ, ਪੰਚਮੀ ਆਦਿ ‘ਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ, ਹੋਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ, ਕਾਰਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕਿਆਂ ‘ਤੇ ਸਰੋਵਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਰਸਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਮਝਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ।
- ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਲਿਤ ਅੰਧਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸਤ੍ਰਿਤ ਦਸਤਾਵੇਜ਼ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡੇ ਜਾਣ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖ ਰਹਿਤ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਮਨਮੱਤ ਰਸਮਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਅਜਿਹੇ ਅੰਧ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ
- ਕੇਵਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਅ ਵਾਲੀ ਜਾਂ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਹੋਰ ਸਰੋਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਅੰਧਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇਗਾ
- ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂਲ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ, ਆਰਥਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਆਤਮਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪਹਿਲੂ ਦੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਜਾਚ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ।
- ਸੰਗਤ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਧ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਪਲੇਟਫਾਰਮਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਘਰ, ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਸੋਸ਼ਲ ਮੀਡੀਆ, ਔਨਲਾਈਨ ਕਲਾਸਾਂ, ਛੋਟੀਆਂ ਵੀਡੀਓਜ਼, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ, ਸਿੱਖ ਸੁਸਾਇਟੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਆਦਿ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ ।
- ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਮ , ਖਾਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ, ਸਮਝਣ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਗੂ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
- ਸੰਗਤ (ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰੇ ਦੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਸ਼ਿਪ) ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ-ਲਿਖੇ (ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਵਾਲੇ) ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।
- ਅੰਧ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਸਾਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
- ਇੱਕ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਅਥਾਰਟੀ ਵਿਕਸਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਿਆਂ/ਸਿੱਖ ਸੰਸਥਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਕਾਜ ਲਈ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।
