Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,
I bow my head in respectful tribute to all our Shaheeds. The strength of our Panth lies in remembering and honoring our martyrs, our history, and firmly following in the footsteps of our Gurus. It is this remembrance that keeps our community alive and thriving.
As the President of the Global Sikh Council, I address the entire Sikh community with a heavy heart and deep concern. Since the tragic events of 1984, when Punjab was brutally suppressed and our sacred Darbar Sahib was attacked, our Panth has faced tremendous challenges. The political landscape of Sikhism changed dramatically after June 1984, and unfortunately, internal divisions within the Panth have only intensified the struggle.
Today, as we mark the 41st anniversary of the Neela Tara massacre, the ongoing headlines still reflect these internal conflicts. However, by the grace of Akal Purakh, and through the wisdom and guidance of our Jathedar Akal Takhat Sahib and the SGPC, today’s program was peacefully conducted.
We now stand at a critical crossroads. It is time to honestly assess our past and come together to plan our future. The responsibility lies with the scholars, political thinkers, and devoted Sikhs of our Panth— whether Sikh-centric or Punjab-centric—to unite and create a powerful, collective vision for our community.
It is the duty of every Sikh to raise their voice against any injustice happening anywhere in the world against our Sikh brothers and sisters. Whenever Sikhs face oppression or wrongdoing, it is our collective responsibility to stand up boldly and speak out against it.
The time has come to raise our voices against division and to reject the culture of sorrow that holds us back. While we commemorate these solemn anniversaries, we must also embrace the spirit of Khalsa’s Chardi Kalaa —a spirit of unwavering optimism, strength, and renewal.
I earnestly urge every Sikh to recognize those who seek to weaken our Panth and to firmly keep them out. Now more than ever, the Sikh community must unite as one. Sikhs across the globe stand in Chardi Kalaa, and it is our duty to come together, plan for the future, and lead our Panth forward with courage and unity.
Together, let us rise in Chardi Kalaa and secure a bright future for our Panth.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਸਹਿਤ ਸ਼ਰਧਾਂਜਲੀ ਭੇਂਟ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਥ ਦੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਸਾਡੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦਾਂ, ਸਾਡੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਨਮਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਕਸ਼ੇ-ਕਦਮਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਯਾਦ ਸਾਡੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਗਲੋਬਲ ਸਿੱਖ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਤੇ, ਮੈਂ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। 1984 ਦੀਆਂ ਦੁੱਖਦਾਈ ਘਟਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਜਦੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਰਹਿਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਦਬਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ‘ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ,ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਰੀ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜੂਨ 1984 ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿੱਖ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ ਨਾਟਕੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਲ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਬਦਕਿਸਮਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਵੰਡ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਧ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਅੱਜ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਨੀਲਾ ਤਾਰਾ ਘੱਲੂਘਾਰੇ ਦੀ 41ਵੀਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇਗੰਢ ਮਨਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਾਰੀ ਸੁਰਖੀਆਂ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅੰਦਰੂਨੀ ਟਕਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸਦਕਾ, ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਝ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਅੱਜ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਵਕ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਇੱਕ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਚੌਰਾਹੇ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੀਤ ਦਾ ਇਮਾਨਦਾਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਂਕਣ ਕਰੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਦੀ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਈਏ। ਇਹ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖ-ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ-ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਥ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ, ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਚਿੰਤਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਇੱਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ, ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀਕੋਣ ਬਣਾਉਣ।
ਇਹ ਹਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਦਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਵੀ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਬੇਇਨਸਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਕਰੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਜਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲੀਏ।
ਸਮਾਂ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੰਡੀਆਂ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ਾ ਦੀ ਹਰ ਉਸ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਹ
ਬਰਸੀਆਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਯਾਦ ਦਿਲਾਉਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਖ਼ਾਲਸੇ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਰਹੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਵਧੀਏ।
ਮੈਂ ਹਰ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਜਬੂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਰੱਖੇ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ, ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਜੁੱਟ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਫਰਜ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਕੇ, ਭਵਿੱਖ ਲਈ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈਏ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੰਥ ਨੂੰ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਅਤੇ ਏਕਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਈਏ।
ਆਓ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੰਥ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਜਵਲ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਸਿਰਜੀਏ।
