Hyderabad, July 20, 2025 – The Global Sikh Council (GSC), in association with Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Ashok Bazar, Hyderabad, proudly honoured Sardar Jeevan Singh Ji, a renowned Supreme Court lawyer, with the Certificate of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Sikh history and the propagation of Gurbani. His efforts embody the spirit of the Gurbani teaching:
“ਵਿਚਿ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਈਐ।। ਤਾ ਦਰਗਹ ਬੈਸਣੁ ਪਾਈਐ।।”
The honour was conferred during a Dewan organised in celebration of the Parkash Purb of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, a spiritually significant occasion that brought together community leaders, scholars and members of the Sikh diaspora in celebration of service and dedication. The timing of this recognition added a deep meaning to the event, highlighting the alignment of values between the honoured guest and the teachings of Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji. highlighted, who are known for their humility, intelligence and service to humanity.
Sardar Jeevan Singh Ji was particularly commended for his tireless efforts in preserving and promoting the spiritual and historical heritage of Sikhism through legal advocacy, education and public speaking. As an accomplished legal professional who has embraced Sikhism with deep faith, his journey stands as an inspiration for Sikhs to remain steadfast in their beliefs. His commitment also acts as a bridge of understanding for non-Sikhs, presenting them with a powerful example of the values and universal appeal of Sikh philosophy.
Dr. Bhupinder Kaur, MBBS (OMC), FCGP, FRCF (UK), Board of Directors of the Global Sikh Council, presented the award and praised Sardar Jeevan Singh Ji’s unwavering dedication to the Sikh community. “His service is a beacon of inspiration to the younger generation and a testament to our rich cultural and spiritual heritage. “A reminder of the importance of upholding values,” he said.
